George is the only Fireless Locomotive on the NWR.
Bio[]
George was built in 1942 by Heisler Locomotive Works for the Illinois Terminal Railroad and worked mostly for the war effort of WWII.In 1946,trains started to decline,and George was sold to the Dock Railway.He stayed there until 1949,when he was sold to the Union Pacific Railroad after a financial crisis.He was then sold to a scrap-dealer,since Union Pacific already had a large surplus of extra engines.Then he was sold to the NWR,as they offered more money for him than the scrap-yards did.After that,he was restored at Crovan's Gate and rebuilt as a 2-4-0 instead of an 0-4-0.He was repainted GWR green with a number 48 on his cab,and was sent to work on John's branchline,and worked there as a tours engine until 1965.That year he was transferred to the Little Western,where he currently works as a Mixed-Traffic engine.
Persona[]
George was always a bit Timid,especially after all the railways' he had been through,but he was always ready to stand up for someone.He was also a bit left out after discovering he was the only Fireless Locomotive on the railway,but he also always felt special.
Basis[]
George is based on the #111 of the Bethlehem Steel Company,which is currently at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
