Tornado is the newest steam engine for British Railways. He was built in 2008, and visited Sodor in the same year. He is the first steam engine built since No. 92220 Evening Star in 1960. Tornado is gentlemanly and polite, but has only had one accident pulling the express. The 50th member of his class, Tornado wears LNER apple green livery with pride. He also has grey mustache, and speaks in a posh British accent. Tornado is LNER Peppercorn A1 No. 60163.
